Come See Us!
The Bridgewater Volunteer Fire Company is here for you. We’re proud of what we do, and would love to show you around. If you’re a member of a school or civic group and would like a tour of our station, please call us at 540-828-3121. We’re very proud of our new fire house, completed in 2012. Before the new station was built, we had to make-do with older trucks because the newer truck models were too large to fit in our station bays. Now we can make plans to replace older, less reliable equipment. Our new building also includes better living accommodations for our firefighters. We think you’ll be impressed, so come by and see us!
Reserve our Training Room
Our 2012 building features a large training room (33’ x 57’) that we use for firefighter classes. The room is equipped with a video projector and screen. The room provides space for us to host state-funded training courses including:
- Firefighter 1 and 2
- Basic Pump Operations
- Emergency Vehicle Operations
- Driver Pump Operations
- Aerial Operation
- Technical Rescue Awareness and Operations
In addition, the room is available for use by the community for special events or meetings. Call us at 540-828-3121 to find out available dates.
New Building Walk-Throughs
Our firefighters offer free walk-throughs of new buildings so we can map them out in case of future emergencies. Maps of buildings are stored at the station house for easy access if needed. We have provided this service for living accommodations at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater Retirement Community and other similar buildings.
